Your stuff is really good, especially your last set of portraits. Im not sure what you are using, graphite or pen or charcoal, but I think you need to experiment with other things, even other dry mediums. I particularly like when I see the hatching following the contours of the face, like in [link] but perhaps try not to have all the lines and hatches be the same length. Try following a contour from its starting point all the way to the end.
